  • World Health Organization (WHO) WHO’s overview of COVID-19 includes public advice, research on the virus, and updates on number of cases throughout the world. Daily WHO media conferences are available to watch.

  • Government of Canada – The federal government’s page on the virus provides information on the virus within Canada. It also offers resources on financial assistance, travel and immigration, and mental and physical well-being.

  • Canada’s COVID-19 Economic Response Plan – All available information on federal financial assistance can be found here for: individuals, organizations helping Canadians and businesses by sector.

  • Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada – Additional information on financial assistance, specifically for newcomers, temporary residents, and refugees. Includes Canada Child Benefit and Canada Emergency Response Benefit. Some resources are available in multiple languages.

  • COVID-19 Resources for Youth and Students – Public Health Agency of Canada has compiled resources for youth and students, including what you can do to help slow the spread of COVID-19, taking care of your mental and physical health, and financial supports for youth and students.

  • What You Should Know About COVID-19 If You Are Older or Have a Chronic Condition - Drugwatch has compiled a list which tells you how different chronic conditions react with Covid.

For Organizations

  • ACIC has accumulated resources for working from home/remotely, and policies and responses from our members.

  • Canadian Council for International Co-operation – CCIC’s response to the pandemic and what activities they’re currently working on.

  • Canada’s Emergency Community Support Fund – Information on Canada’s $350 million fund, created to support community organizations helping vulnerable people during the COVID-19 crisis. Community organizations may seek funds to undertake a wide range of activities and to serve a wide range of vulnerable groups.

  • A Charity’s Guide to Canada’s COVID-19 Governmental Supports and Programs – This article outlines the measures undertaken by the Canadian federal and provincial governments in response to the economic impact of COVID-19, and the employment supports available to Canada’s charitable sector.

  • Global Affairs Canada – Global Affairs Canada’s guidance on potential costs related to COVID-19 in delivering international development assistance projects.

  • Canadian Red Cross – Canadian Red Cross is offering emergency support for community organizations that help individuals who may be vulnerable to the impacts of COVID-19. Support will be delivered through: a grant program for non-profits to help support COVID-19 related activities; and preventative disease transmission training and equipment for registered charities.

  • WHO WHO’s resources for dealing with stress and mental health during COVID-19, including their #HealthyAtHome campaign.

  • Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) CMHA’s COVID-19 related resources, including information of self-care, workplace mental health, caring for others, and changes to local events.

  • Your Social Distancing Guide from CMHA Part of CMHA’s Mental Health Week, this resource focuses on how to connect with others during COVID-19 isolation.

  • Canadian Partnership for Women and Children’s Health – Additional resources on mental health at home and in the workplace. This page includes access to a one-time webinar hosted by CanWaCH in partnership with CMHA on the topic.

  • Crisis Services Canada Resources addressing anxiety during COVID-19 and how to support children. Local Information is available by region.

  • Canadian Red Cross – If you or someone you know may be feeling isolated or lonely due to COVID-19, consider Red Cross’ Friendly Calls program. Call 1-833-729-0144 Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. AST to register. The Safety and Wellbeing team will schedule calls at mutually agreeable times.
