The Canadian Red Cross Global Health Unit, in partnership with Dalhousie Global Health Office, will host a workshop on public health in complex emergencies. Workshop moderators will include Senior Health Manager, Dr. Ayham Alomari, and Health in Emergencies Advisor, Laura Archer.

The workshop is open to all interested participants from a variety of backgrounds and specialties. Participants will be split into groups and will work through a case study on one of many topics relating to public health in complex emergencies. Topics could include, but are not limited to, non-communicable diseases, such as malnutrition, maternal, newborn and child health, and epidemics, such as cholera.

After groups work through their case, a discussion will occur, moderated by the workshop leaders.
